Every time at the end of the year for me, and many other circusfriends, the same problem occurs. Too many circus shows to visit. At the moment I more-or-less made my schedule for the Christmas holiday and before that I still have to plan my visits in Paris.
After the stop of the Freiwalds Menagerie Circus I got two weekends to spend meeting up with friends and to relax. End of November I will be spending about a week at the rehearsals of the Wintercircus Martin Hanson making the photos for their press-kit.
The weekend after that is my annual trip to Paris. Always great to meet circus artist I haven’t seen in a while and to grab a bite with. Biggest plus is being able to visit three circuses in one day on Saturday and Sunday. Taking show pictures all day long, it’s the best, but at the end of that long weekend my eyes are completely red, the pain is worth it though.
After Paris come the Christmas shows in Holland. This year I am planning to visit: Circusfestival of Enschede, Noord-Hollands Wintercircus, Wereldkerstcircus Carré, Mega Kerstcircus Den Bosch, Kerstwintercircus Eindhoven, European Circusfestival in Liège and in Utrecht the Cascade Circus and the Kerstcircus Utrecht (Louis Knie jr.).
